Merry Christmas

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope you get to celebrate it with great people and delicious food. I'll be spending the day with my mom, brother and sister-in-law (and my mom's dog!).

Last night, I had unexpected company for Christmas Eve. As I've mentioned before, I'm part of a FB group called "Host a Sister", which allows women from all over the world to connect and arrange meet-ups, offer/ask for accommodation, and even arrange house swaps. I used it during my recent trip to Utrecht to meet up with two local women who gave me a tour of the city and had lunch/tea with me.

Two days ago, I noticed that a "sister" from Ukraine, who is working in Turin, was seeking company for the 24th-25th, as she would be spending the holidays here alone. I once spent Christmas all alone, and it was awful, so I reached out to offer to have dinner together. We went to a Peruvian restaurant and I got the chance to learn so many new things. She also brought her Black Terrier, Nero, who is huge but also the most well-behaved dog I've ever met!

I'm always so happy when I get the chance to meet people from all over the world and from different walks of life. And as I mentioned, I know how hard being alone, or having company but feeling lonely nonetheless, can be. So if that's the case for you, feel free to reach out, I'd be happy to arrange a chat.
