Wishing you all a Happy New Year! Have you made any New Year's resolutions? Go ahead and share them with us in the comments. We are much more likely to follow through with things when we write them down and share them with others.

If you haven't made any resolutions, I encourage you to think about the year ahead and identify some goals you'd like to achieve. If you need help assessing your current situation and determining actionable changes that could lead to better results, take a look at my post series on building a life we love, where I share concrete strategies and tools to get you started (pt 1, pt 2, pt 3). Tools like the Fast Forward Test or The Odyssey Plan will help: a) identify what you want to change/improve; b) visualize what you want your days/life to look like; c) decide on your next steps.

Another way of looking at this is to think about what you want to let go from 2023. Old habits, fears that keep holding you back, preconceived notions that stunt your growth, past failures you keep blaming yourself for, a role that is no longer serving you well, unhealthy boundaries in your relationships... You name it. Let go and start working on replacing that with something better.

It's not that easy, as we're hardwired to resist change, even when we're dissatisfied with our current situation. I am too, and especially now as I get older, I worry about the costs and potential risks that come with making changes and taking chances (I was a bit more of a risk-taker in my 20s and early 30s). But we need to keep in mind that doing nothing also has a cost. If we don't set aside time throughout the year to assess where we're at and where we want to go, we'll keep coasting along and operating on autopilot. Life really is too short, and I don't want to end it full of regrets.

Personally, I'm going to continue working on my health; I feel like I'm finally moving in the right direction and seeing the first positive results, but I still have a lot of work to do. I also want to continue and expand my content creation journey and put myself out there more without worrying about what others might think. In addition to my blog, I want to delve deeper into creating a product around the topic of self-care and open a YT channel. I also want to spend more time with my friends and acquaintances, both online and offline, and keep meeting new people. Also, maybe some solo traveling, which I haven't done in a long time.

As I mentioned, sharing your plans with people who will support you and provide honest feedback is crucial. You can also share them with me in the comments or by email, or book a free call. Looking forward to sharing 2024 with you; let's make it our best year yet!
